Delete account and data

How to delete your HeroTasks account from the apps or by email, and what is erased, in accordance with Google Play and App Store requirements and the GDPR right to erasure.

1. What is deleted

When you delete your HeroTasks Parents account we permanently erase:

  • Your login account (email, password, name, avatar, role and language).
  • Your kids’ profiles and all their activity: tasks, history, points, requested rewards and aquarium fish.
  • Your family’s tasks, rewards, missions and groups.
  • The push notification identifiers of your devices.
  • The whole family, if you are the primary parent, including the accounts of the other adults who were part of it. If you are a secondary parent, only your own account is deleted and the family stays with the primary parent.

We keep only the data that tax and commercial law obliges us to retain about subscriptions already charged (amount, date and store reference), for the legal period, and security logs for a maximum of twelve months. This data does not allow the Service to be used or the minors to be identified.

2. How to delete it from the app

Deletion is immediate and does not require contacting us:

  • HeroTasks Parents: open Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account. Enter your password to confirm.
  • HeroTasks: on the profile selection screen open the top-right menu, or on a child’s profile scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. Only a parent can do it: the email and password of the parent account signed in on that device are required.

Both routes are available on Android and iOS and delete the same data described above.

3. Requesting it by email

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot access your account, write to privacidad@herotasks.app from the address you registered with, with the subject “Account deletion request”. If you write from another address, we will ask you to confirm the request from the account’s email to protect your data.

We will process the deletion within a maximum of 30 days and confirm by email once completed. It is usually done in under 72 hours.

4. Before deleting the account

  • Cancel your Premium subscription in the App Store or Google Play. Deleting the account does not cancel the subscription and does not entitle you to a refund of the current period.
  • If you want to keep a record of your kids’ activity, write it down first: deletion is irreversible and we cannot recover the data afterwards.
  • Sign out on the devices where the kids app is installed; they will stop working as soon as the account is gone.

5. Deleting only some data

You do not need to delete the account to remove specific data. From the parents app you can delete kids’ profiles, tasks, rewards or groups at any time, and turn off notifications. For other erasure requests write to privacidad@herotasks.app.
